The Buildfire MCP connector gives AI assistants direct access to your Buildfire platform — users, analytics, push notifications, app features, and more. No switching tabs. No copy-pasting IDs.

The Buildfire MCP connector provides AI assistants with secure access to your Buildfire platform, making it easier to manage apps and perform common administrative tasks using natural language. Instead of navigating between multiple screens or manually locating IDs, you can interact with your Buildfire account directly through your AI assistant.

What It Does

The connector includes everything needed to manage your Buildfire apps, including:

  • App Management – List and navigate all of your Buildfire apps by name without manually looking up app IDs.
  • User Management – Search, create, and manage users, and assign or remove tags for audience segmentation.
  • Analytics – Access app-level and plugin-level analytics with daily, monthly, or all-time reporting presented in a human-readable format.
  • Push Notifications – Search notification groups and schedule push notification campaigns with a confirmation step before sending.
  • Plugin Insights – View installed plugin instances, available analytics events, and plugin memory to better understand app features.
  • Read-First Safety – Most tools are read-only. Actions that make changes, such as creating users or sending notifications, require confirmation before they are executed.

App & Plugin Management

  • List all Buildfire apps available to the authenticated account.
  • View installed plugin instances and app features for a specific app.
  • Search plugin instances by name within an app.
  • Retrieve stored plugin memory for a plugin instance.

Analytics

  • List available analytics event categories for an app.
  • Retrieve analytics for multiple app events in a single request.
  • View available analytics events for a plugin instance.
  • Retrieve daily analytics counts for a plugin event.
  • Search users who triggered a specific plugin analytics event.

User Management

  • Search and list users within an app.
  • Retrieve the total number of registered users.
  • View the number of users assigned to one or more tags.
  • Create a new user with optional dry-run validation.
  • Assign one or more tags to a user.
  • Remove tags from a user with optional dry-run validation.

Push Notifications

  • Search push notification groups by name or ID.
  • Schedule a push notification with a confirmation-oriented dry run before sending.

Authentication

The Buildfire MCP connector uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange), the same secure authentication standard used by modern web applications.

When connecting, you'll be redirected to Buildfire to sign in and grant access. Your password is never shared with the AI assistant.
