How to schedule Push Notifications

Easily manage recurring and geo-based push notifications to keep your users engaged with timely, automated messages.

Scheduling tools allow app owners and administrators to create, organize, and deliver notifications automatically—whether they’re recurring messages, geo-based triggers, or one-time campaigns. This helps ensure consistent engagement and saves time by eliminating the need for manual sends.

Requirements

  • The user must have Push Notifications configured and active for your app.

How to schedule Push Notifications

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Click Push Notifications from the left menu

  3. Click +Recurring Notification to create an automated message that sends on a regular schedule

    • Choose whether to send to all users, specific groups, or custom segments based on your audience

  4. Select your audience:

    • All Devices – sends to every app user

    • Groups – targets predefined user groups

    • Custom Segments – targets users by tags or conditions

  5. Add your message content

    • Enter a title and message body

    • Use the rich-text editor to format your in-app message with links or media

    • Add an Action Item such as:

      1. A deep link to another app section

      2. A redirect to a feature or page

      3. A prompt to complete an in-app action

  6. Schedule your notification

    • Set a start date and time.

    • Choose how often it repeats (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)

    • Optionally, set an end date or choose Never for ongoing notifications
