How to use App Share Settings

The App Share Settings act as a central control point for your app’s built-in sharing links. These settings determine which URLs are used when users share your app, download it from the app stores, or access it through a web browser. You can use the system-generated defaults or replace them with your own custom links.

How to use App Share Settings

1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

2. Click Settings, then open App Share Settings

3. Review the App ID

   • This is a unique identifier assigned to your app

   • It is used internally by Buildfire to track and reference your app

   • This value cannot be edited

4. Review or update the iOS URL

   • This is the App Store download link for iOS users

   • It is automatically populated once your app is live on the App Store

   • Share this link directly with iPhone and iPad users

5. Review or update the Android URL

   • This is the Google Play Store download link for Android users

   • It is automatically populated once your app is live on Google Play

   • Share this link directly with Android users

6. Copy the HTML5 URL

   • This opens your app in a web browser

   • Useful for desktop access, previews, or sharing without app store downloads

7. Use the Promo Page URL

   • This is a system-generated landing page for your app

   • It includes:

     • App icon

     • App name and description

     • Download buttons for iOS and Android

   • You can link to this page from websites, emails, or marketing campaigns

8. (Optional) Restore system default URLs

   • Click Restore System Defaults to regenerate default HTML5 and Promo Page URLs if they are missing or blank

• Use the Promo Page when promoting your app on websites or social media

• Share store-specific URLs to ensure users land on the correct app store

• Use the HTML5 URL for quick previews or web-based access

• Avoid manually changing store URLs unless you are replacing them intentionally
