# How to use the People plugin

## Create profiles, directories, catalog-style entries, and searchable lists with the People plugin

The People plugin lets you add profiles with names, photos, descriptions, and contact links. It’s perfect for team directories, sponsor lists, catalogs, or any structured set of items where each entry includes details, media, and optional actions

### **How to use the People plugin**

1. Log in, go to **Builder** in the left navigation
2. Click the **+** button to open the Plugin Marketplace

     - Search for People, then click **Add Plugin**
     - Name your plugin and choose whether to add it to the side menu, then click **Add**
3. Stay in the **Content** tab

     - Choose how to add data

           1. **Import Data** to upload a CSV file

                    1. Click **Get Template** to download the CSV format
                    2. Fill out fields such as first name, last name, phone number, image URL, and more
                    3. Click **Import CSV File** to upload your completed sheet
           2. **Generate AI Data** to automatically create a list based on your prompt

                    1. Enter a prompt describing the type of list you want
                    2. Click **Generate** to populate sample entries
                    3. Edit or delete any items as needed
           3. **Enter Manually** to create each profile individually

                    1. Click **Add a Person**
                    2. Upload a top image
                    3. Enter first name, last name, position, email, and phone number
                    4. Add description content using the **WYSIWYG** editor
     - Add a top image carousel

           1. Click the image carousel area to upload or select images
     - Add a plugin description

           1. Use the **WYSIWYG** editor to include text, images, links, or videos
     - Manage your People list

           1. Review all entries under the People section
           2. Use **Sort** to arrange items manually, A–Z, Z–A, newest to oldest, or oldest to newest
     - Use bulk actions

           1. Download all entries with **Export CSV File**
           2. Use **Get Template** and **Import CSV File** to update or replace data in bulk
     - Add contact links to a person

           1. Click **Add Contact Information**
           2. Choose from options such as:

                    1. Send Email
                    2. Call Phone Number
                    3. Open Map Location
                    4. SMS
                    5. Social Media
                    6. Web Content
                    7. App Content (link to another plugin or screen)
           3. Click **Save** to apply the link
     - Search entries

           1. Use the search bar to quickly locate profiles, especially in large directories
4. Click the **Design** tab

     - Choose a list layout for the main directory view
     - Choose an item layout for individual profile pages
     - Add a background image for the full plugin
5. Click the **Settings** section

     - Choose **Data Type** (Datastore or Public Data)
     - Review the warning: changing data type hides previous data
     - Enable **Unique Email** if each entry should require a unique address
     - Update the **Contact Button Text** if you want to rename the call-to-action
6. Click the **Security** tab

     - Turn on **Require Login** to restrict feature access to logged-in users
     - (Optional) Add tag-based restrictions and choose whether to match any or all tags
7. Click the **Tagging** tab

     - Enter a tag name to automatically apply to users when they open this feature
     - Click **Add Tag**
8. Click the **Purchase** tab

     - Check **Require Purchase** to enable
     - Choose your product type such as Single Purchase or Subscription
     - Upload an image, fill out purchase text, and success/failure messages
9. Click the **Analytics** tab to see feature performance

     - Track daily views, top users, device types, and behavior patterns
     - View user engagement across all People entries

#### **Pro tips**

- Utilize the WYSIWYG to add images, videos, or forms to enhance each person’s profile or directory entry
- Use the People Plugin for more than people. Many apps use it for catalogs, bulletins, announcements, or structured collections
- Get creative with contact links. Add links to sponsors, promotional pages, event info, or web resources to create rich, interactive profiles
